The sense of openness and fluidity begins outside, where elements of the exterior - including a new decked walkway - extend into the building. Inside are dramatic features such as a double height chain mail curtain to demarcate a semi-formal area. That the library area can easily become a party space is typical of an approach that is fresh and fun but not frivolous
